WhatsApp gets new beta update, many features related to work
WhatsApp is enabling many new features for Android beta users. It includes a very useful 'Always Mute' feature, a new storage usage UI and its tools, and another feature called Media Guidelines. The instant messaging platform has released WhatsApp 2.20.201.10 beta for Android and it has also been revealed that the video and voice call buttons for the business account have disappeared. New features have been enabled in the latest beta, but for some, the time to use them may be slightly longer.

WABetaInfo has seen many new features in the latest WhatsApp 2.20.201.10 beta for Android. The most useful feature of all is the Always Mute feature, which replaces the previously available 'one year' option when muting chat. As the name suggests, this feature will allow people to mute a group or a single user forever. We were able to see this feature in the latest beta. WABetaInfo has also stated that if it does not appear immediately, it should be visible to all beta users within a few days.

The update also brings a new storage usage UI for beta users. The tracker states that the rollout began in the previous beta, but the rollout was not visible to everyone at the time. With WhatsApp 2.20.201.10 beta for Android, many users can now reportedly see this feature. We still haven't received this new UI, but it should be enabled for all users in a few days.

In addition, media guidelines are being enabled for public beta testing. This feature allows users to align stickers and text when you edit photos, videos and GIFs. This feature is still not enabled for us, but it should be available soon.

Finally, the tracker noticed that WhatsApp is hiding voice and video call buttons in the chat in the verified business account. Buttons have also disappeared from contact info. If you tap on the profile icon in the chat and contact list, those buttons are still available. There is no clarity on why WhatsApp is hiding these chats. This can only be a test and WhatsApp may bring it back in future updates.
